These are the lessons I've learned from my yoga teachers, and from my own experience, body and mind. Whether I still value them, they had their time and place.
I
have practiced yoga independently for over ten years. It was a dance, a game, something to share with others, and a way to challenge and explore my body.
I finally
committed to a studio for a few months, and outright rejected the
corporate whitewash fitness craze. Maybe I needed that push for a while.
I have since found myself in
Thailand, soon to be India, making a pursuit of "real yoga" my focus. What is "real yoga?" According to my current teacher, "Real yoga is not giving a f---."
